On 13 June the Supreme court of cassation of Italy, considered the complaint of lawyers of the actress Ornella Muti on the lower court decision and upheld her prison sentence and the fine in favor of the Verdi Theatre in Pordenone. It is reported by the Italian news Agency ANSA.
In December 2010, Muti was given the theatre help on problems with the voice, in which she cancelled a planned show in Pordenone. Instead of a five day stay, which was recommended in the help, the actress went for the gala concert to Russia, where, in particular, had dinner with at the time, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and actor Kevin costner.
Help acknowledged fake.
The court of first instance in February 2015 the actress was sentenced to eight months in prison and fined. Muti lawyers challenged the decision.
The decision of the court of cassation 64-year-old Italian actress has to pay the Teatro Verdi €30 million or go to jail for six months.
