In Chernivtsi region nine localities remain without gas due to the destruction of the elements of air transfer pipeline to the gas distribution station “Brusnice” across the Cheremosh river in Ivano-Frankivsk region. There are also risks of flooding GDS “Mohyliv-Podilskyi” in Vinnytsia region, the press service of the state institution “Operator of the Ukrainian GTS”.
The transit of gas to EU countries and transportation to the consumers in other localities of Ukraine is carried out smoothly and within the planned volumes.
The restoration of a gas pipeline through waters and liquidation of consequences of the accident will begin immediately after the termination of bad weather.
The company noted that to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to Ukrainian and European consumers have identified all potentially dangerous areas and developed measures of localization in case of emergencies.
“The operator GTS” switched to a special mode of operation: continuous monitoring of water level and condition of the support structures in places of transition pipelines across rivers. Mobilized all the technical service and maintenance crews prepared the necessary equipment to respond according to the plan of liquidation of emergency situations.
We will remind, as a result of natural disasters in Western regions of Ukraine disrupted transportation with 34 settlements. Damaged 429,7 km of roads and 130 bridges in Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions.
