Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Berlin to protest against racism and xenophobia in Germany and the EU.
Under the slogan “For an open and free society – solidarity instead of discrimination” joined concerned residents and activists of different movements (for the protection of the rights of migrants, LGBT communities, workers, the homeless).
On the eve of manifestati, organized by the Association Unteilbar, foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas stated that this action will show the supporters of far-right ideology that the German people will not allow you to split the society, especially right-wing populists.
The rally passed without incidents. According to police estimates it was attended by over 100 thousand people.
