About half of Ukrainians support the recognition of the leaders of the Ukrainian people’s Republic fighters for independence of Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the results of a national survey conducted by Fund “Democratic initiatives” name Ilka Kucheriv jointly with the Kyiv international Institute of sociology that was presented at UKRINFORM.
“As regards the decision on the recognition of figures of the Ukrainian national Republic fighters for independence of Ukraine, we see a really positive consensus among Ukrainians. About half of our citizens have a positive attitude – 48%. Negative – only 16%. Others replied that they do not care or can’t tell. They are people who can change their opinion, and with whom to work,” he said, presenting a research analyst at the Foundation for Democratic initiatives” to them. Kucheriv Sergey Shapovalov.
As noted, the positive balance in relations to the figures of the UPR is observed in all regions. Age groups do not differ in the proportions of positive and negative relations, but among older people more than those who are undecided with their response to this question.
