World champion in Middleweight according to WBA and WBC Saul Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KO’s) has confirmed that the next fight will be against Russian Sergey Kovalev (34-3-1, 29 KO’s).
The Mexican battle with the owner of champion belt under version WBO in the light heavyweight division will take place on 2 November.
On the line of battle will stand the WBO belt Kovalev, but for Alvarez’s first fight at light heavyweight.
Kovalev in August with a knockout in the 11th round victory over Briton Anthony Yard and defended his WBO title. Alvarez in his last fight defeated American Daniel Jacobs, winning the IBF title in a unification bout.
Late Mexican boxer lost the IBF title after unsuccessful negotiations on the protection of the title against Ukrainian Sergey Derevyanchenko, who will fight for the title in Kazakh Gennady Golovkin.
