Major Roman Kovalev, who declared a severe reprimand for criticizing President Vladimir Zelensky said that troops in Ukraine want to limit access to social networks.
On his page on Facebook he shared a document fragment, which is supposedly at the request of the Office of the President established in the Ministry of defence. It States that in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are insufficiently standardized the question of use of social networks by the military(to see photos, dockrillia to the end of the page).
Kovalev said to solve this issue, the experts propose to develop amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On social and legal protection of servicemen and members of their families” by limiting the rights of servicemen to use social media.
“Why is it done? Clear. The military was a closed Corporation to society, and the processes and phenomena that occur in it, was not known to the Ukrainians. Instead, some officer will report weekly to reporters about how all well and fine in the army,” wrote major.
He said that he has information that Zelensky personally drew attention to his case and requires the military leadership of the APU is significant to punish the “major lie” to show all the military “their place”.
“Now the military leadership is trying me once again to punish and violating my rights and set normative documents, appoint me to a position lower that according to the Charter is one of the most severe punishment for the military and especially the officer. Besides, in my opinion, with the intervention of the President of Zelensky, my business takes on a political character”, – said Kovalev.
