The authorities of Antalya province opposed the proposal of the mayor of the eponymous city to introduce a tourist tax, Trend reports.
In early July, the mayor of Antalya, Muhittin of Bechek said that the Turkish resort “is not enough municipal revenues to maintain city infrastructure.” He offered to introduce a tourist tax of 1.5 euros per night, Recalling a similar practice in other countries.
