Banksy wanted to draw public attention to the problem of environmental pollution. Environmentalists are also sounding the alarm: cruise ships that regularly sail to Venice, dump waste directly into the sea.

On his page in instagram Banksy wrote that his reason was never invited at the Venice Biennale. Judging by the attached video, he was kicked out by the police.
