The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on June 3 in a cafe in the city of Khmelnitsky did not violate quarantine restrictions, and inspected the work of such institutions, which since June 5 will be able to receive visitors, said the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Victor Liashko.
He told reporters on Thursday in Khmelnytskyi region, the owners of this cafe on Wednesday has declared readiness to comply with the provisions for the reopening of such institutions, which was published by the Ministry of health and the Cabinet, so the President and his delegation went to check how it will be in practice.
“We just came to see there was observed as written in our rules. I sat aloof, controlled. We see if will work. Because we are all experiencing, the dynamics of incidence, we did not reduce, it is stable. So going through the President, I am worried, as the chief sanitary doctor. We do everything to ensure that the business has started its work, and the epidemic situation control. So do not consider this as a violation of the quarantine, and inspection”, – said Lyashko.
Himself Zelensky said that he is ready to pay the fine if something broke. “I was invited, I went there all checked,” he said.
On June 3 during a visit to Khmelnitsky Zelensky delegation had coffee at a local coffee shop, which, according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, may not receive visitors in the room at least until June 5. The corresponding photo was released by the press service of the President.
On 4 June the Deputy Minister of internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said that the police will investigate a possible violation of the quarantine restrictions by the President of Ukraine Zelensky during a working visit to Khmelnitsky.
“When Vladimir Zelensky showed his ballot in April 2019, he was fined for disclosing the secrecy of the vote. Therefore, the competent police authorities will consider this question”, – Gerashchenko told reporters on Thursday.
For violation of quarantine restrictions the President faces a fine of 17 thousand UAH, however, according to Gerashchenko, the first law enforcement officers should establish whether the blame Zelensky in this incident.
