On April 11 in Kiev held a public consultation on the introduction of licensing of doctors. The discussion was attended by over 40 doctors and representatives of professional associations, administrators of health care institutions.
Changes to the system access to the medical profession include the introduction of fundamentally different rules, in particular the creation of new regulation. Honest discussion on the changes proposed to the incarnation, found a lot of positive reviews from representatives of professional community.
“Now we feel that we are too involved in the changes. After all, the Ministry of health of Ukraine understands the importance of doctors. Earlier processes that took place in the Ministry of health of Ukraine, was removed,” – says Svetlana Lazarev, Chairman of the Dental Association of the Kiev region, honored doctor of Ukraine, candidate of medical Sciences.
The participants in the public consultations in Kyiv, supported the proposal that the principles of access to the profession of physician must be fixed at the legislative level. The most actively discussed questions of formation of the composition of the body that will make the decision on the granting, renewal or cancellation of licenses – the Licensing Board.
The format of the public consultations, the Ministry of health of Ukraine deliberately chose to hear the opinion of doctors from across the country and to develop a draft law on professional licensing of doctors and the corresponding normative-legal acts taking into account the positions of all stakeholders.
The next public consultation will take place in Lviv on 23 April. Consultations will be held in Uzhgorod, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Cherkasy, Odessa. To do doctors from all villages, towns, cities and communities of Ukraine.
