The international biathlon Union (IBU) has postponed of the sprint race at the world Cup in canadian Canmore from Saturday to Sunday due to frost.
It is expected that on Saturday, February 9, the temperature in Canmore drops to minus 25 degrees.
The sprint race was originally planned as a mass start, but a start format was changed due to cold weather in Canada. In connection with frosts earlier IBU reduces the distance of the track for athletes during individual races.
Thus, 10 February at 21:20 Kiev time will be the men’s sprint and women’s race will start at 23:45.
