BMW has published a teaser video showing pre-production prototype of “charged” M-versions of the X3 and X4 crossovers new generation. Premiere of the car will be held until the end of February 2019. The public debut of new products expected at the motor show in Geneva in March.
In the video, the appearance of the new BMW X3 M and X4 M is hidden behind the camouflage. However, we can already say that the crossovers will receive aerodynamic side mirrors, new bumpers with large air intakes. Also cars will be equipped with aluminum wheel rims and exhaust system with four exhaust pipes.
All specifications are still kept secret. According to unofficial data, the crossover will complement the new six-cylinder inline supercharged engine, with a displacement of three liters. The efficiency of the unit is 450 HP and 475 HP with the optional sport package Competition Package. The car will receive system of a full drive from the M5 sedan new generation, which is specially adapted for crossovers.

BMW launched the X3 crossover of the third generation at the Frankfurt motor show in 2017. The novelty has received a new platform, smart, and powerful sports version with a 360-horsepower engine. The basis of the SUV lay modified modular chassis CLAR, which has built up flagship sedan 7-Series and the new “five”.
The new X4 is also built on the platform of CLAR, which is a proprietary development of BMW. Machine length is 4752 mm and a width of 1918 mm wheelbase is mm. 2864 Thus the novelty was slightly more crossover of the first generation. The boot volume of the BMW X4 has grown to 525 L. When folded seat backs of the second row, the figure rises to 1430 L.
