The Bavarian brand will present in Frankfurt a special edition of its X6 crossover new generation, are covered with a substance that absorbs 99.9% of visible light.
The BMW company presented a special version of the X6 crossover new generation, developed jointly with the British firm Surrey NanoSystems. The vehicle struck a special substance called Vantablack, which is the darkest of the known substances in the world.
Vantablack – the special substance, consisting of carbon nanotubes, which absorbs up to 99,965% of the total visible eye light, microwaves and radio waves. The substance, developed by the National physical laboratory UK (NPL) and Surrey NanoSystems, it was first presented at the Farnborough air show in the summer of 2014.
Due to the almost complete absence of reflected light the human eye perceives painted Vantablack subject not as something material but as a failure into a bottomless void. Shown in photos is the BMW X6 crossover it looks like completely devoid of the contours of the body.
Along with this car in Frankfurt will debut the usual BMW X6 is the third generation of the Russian sales of which will begin in November 2019.
