British oncologists from London’s Queen Mary University found that breast cancer screening reduces mortality from the disease by 60%.

The study involved more than 52 thousand women from Sweden at the age of 40-69 years.
The scientists watched them for almost 40 years.
Method will reduce the mortality from breast cancer by 60%
The results of the study showed that women who participated in the screening programme for breast cancer, the risk of death from disease was reduced by 60% within 10 years after diagnosis, and 47% within 20 years.
Thus, scientists say that regular screening can detect breast cancer at earlier stages, which greatly increases the survival rate of patients.
