The captain was released from prison after October ended an investigation into the accident, however, he had to wear an electronic bracelet. In addition, the captain was forbidden to leave the residence without permission.

As reported, the collision of the cruise ship Viking Sigyn with a pleasure boat on the Danube river occurred on may 29. The boat capsized and sank. In total onboard there were 35 people, of whom 28 were killed – mostly tourists from South Korea.

In late November, the Prosecutor’s office of Hungary has issued a formal charge Ukrainian. He is accused of criminal behavior, which led to mass casualties and 35 cases of failure to render aid after a collision with another boat.

The Prosecutor demands that the court sentenced the ship’s captain for nine years, and forbade him to drive for 9 years.
