The Central electoral Commission adopted the decision on the participation of the Communist party in the parliamentary elections. The CEC representatives of the Communist party of Ukraine were denied registration as candidates on elections in the Verkhovna Rada. It is reported ONLINE.UA with reference to the press service of the CEC.
It was also denied registration of the representative of the Communist party in the Central election Commission with deliberative vote.
As of June 22 in single-mandate electoral districts candidates was 1380, and 1313 of the candidates included in the electoral lists of ten political parties in the national multi-member constituency.
1155 candidates in single-mandate districts candidates in order of self, 225 people were nominated by political parties. 17 candidates in order of nomination, registration denied.
24 may about the intention to participate in the parliamentary elections was announced by the Chairman of the Communist party Peter Simonenko. However, this idea is in conflict with applicable law. In December 2015, the court satisfied the claim of Ministry of justice and banned the activities of the Communist party.
Despite the fact that the Communist party has filed an appeal against the court decision, its consideration was suspended pending the Constitutional court of the constitutionality of the ban of Communist symbols.
