Social network Facebook has started to review the images and video content for accuracy. Thus, the social network has decided to combat the proliferation of fakes.
This was stated by product Manager Anthony Woodford, transfers “Radio Freedom”.
According to her, earlier factchecking (fact-checking) act in relation to text messages.
“Today we are expanding factchecking and pictures and video for our 27 partners in 17 countries (and regularly attract new partners with fact-checking). This will help us quickly identify and take action against disinformation”, – said the Manager.
As you know, Facebook has stepped up security measures after it was proved that Russian agents have used the network for manipulations aimed at the undermining of American society before the presidential elections in 2016.
