In addition, the developers reached the intended goal on Kickstarter. $100 thousand collected, and there are still 20 days to receive a greater amount. You can still donate $2 to support The Farm 51, and $30 to get a copy Chernobylite on Steam complete with digital artbook, exclusive demo and Wallpaper.
Chernobylite is a sci-Fi single-player game that combines the freedom to explore the world with the creation of objects, heavy battles and a nonlinear storyline. The action takes place in 2016. 30 years after the Chernobyl tragedy that changed the lives of 350 thousand people forever. Even after all these years of the main character plagued by the demons of the past – he lost his most precious, his girlfriend. The protagonist returns to the exclusion zone to find it. All traces lead to the fact that Tanya’s there, in the most dangerous place on Earth.
In the exclusion zone you will have partners for whom you are responsible. Your decisions can lead to their death in the field. To avoid this, you need to play carefully, and not the headlong rush through dangerous terrain. During raids you can find a lot of useful items that will be useful when building a base. Every night you come back to yourself and can improve home – to upgrade the machines to create objects to build a comfortable bed to improve the morals of the companions, or the small field hospital that will give you a second chance when it’s gonna get ugly.
As for the non-linear plot, in Chernobylite every character can die, and each task may be failed. The narrative is formed by the player, his skills and decisions that lead to different consequences and affect the outcome of the story.
Chernobylite will be available on PC in November of 2019 in early access on Steam. Full version should be out in the second half of 2020. The developers are also planning a console release project is created taking into account the relevant features of the interface and other elements – but not yet ready to give even an approximate release date.
