Premiere of new items scheduled for early March.
Hong Kong company Apex Motors, which is developing lightweight track sports cars, will present at the Geneva motor show electric supercar AP-0. Its chassis is made of CFRP, with the aim to keep the vehicle weight is 1200 kg and the car itself is described as “driversi and aerodynamic”.
On a single darkened image of the Apex AP-0 can be considered a massive longitudinal keel with a stop signal made of carbon fiber, the stern of complex shape and turn signals, just behind the wheels. The machine itself is, apparently, quite compact. At Apex Motors reported that the chassis of the electric car is entirely made of CFRP, and the weight is only 1200 pounds. Dvuhdverka will differ not only in the dynamics of acceleration: the promised “lively” handling and stability at high speeds and in turns.
While in the lineup Apex Motors there is only a track car AP-1. It is built around the carbon “bathtub” with a mass of 65 kilograms (meets FIA) with subframe from steel tubing and adjustable suspension on a double wishbone front and rear. Landing of the driver in the AP-1 is largely similar to the fit of the pilot in the Formula 1 car.
In motion Apex AP-1 leads to “turboservice” Ford 2.3 EcoBoost, tuned to out 355 horsepower. Mounted just behind the seat unit is paired with a six-speed “sequentially” Hewland. Acceleration to 100 kilometers per hour sports car takes 2.5 seconds, and to 161 km / h of 10.5 seconds. Maximum speed is 280 kilometers per hour.
