Audi has unveiled the Sportback version of kupeobrazny crossover electric e-tron. It has new headlights and a more aerodynamic body, thanks to which increased the power reserve.
Audi e-tron Sportback became the first of the production models, who got the matrix headlight system microkernel. With the help of electrostatic fields nearly million reflecting elements (each has a size of only a few hundredths of a millimeter) can change the position of up to 5 thousand times per second, allowing you to accurately adjust the light beam and even to project a different image or animation on the road or wall, for example, the name of the model.
For the same length in 4901 mm and width 1935 mm coupe-crossover was below 13 mm (up to 1616 mm) than the e-tron. The drag coefficient was reduced from 0.28 to 0.25 is allowed to increase the nameplate power reserve of ten kilometers.
Different from the usual Sportback e-tron littered pillar, sloping roof and slightly changed the decor of the bumpers and sills, the presence in the list of options 22-inch wheels. Luggage capacity reduced from 600 to 555 litres with folded backrest of the rear seats, the new product also accommodates the less – 1595 1665 litres against the standard crossover.
As usual e-tron coupe-crossover has two versions with two motors (front and rear axle). Performance 50 quattro produces 313 HP (540 N·m), accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and top speed is 190 km/h. When the battery capacity of 71 kWh, this crossover can pass up to 347 kilometers.
The top version of the 55 has quattro 360 HP (561 N·m) with the possibility of short-term power increase to 408 HP (664 N·m). In this mode, the e-tron Sportback is gaining first “hundred” for 5.7 seconds, a top speed of 200 km/h and power reserve is 446 kilometers when the battery capacity of 95 kWh.
Accepting pre-orders in Europe for the Audi e-tron Sportback will open in late November, and sales will begin in the spring of 2020.
