Sales of Toyota Highlander is the fourth generation in the Ukrainian market will begin in June 2020. The pre-orders has already started.
The new Toyota Highlander is built on the global modular platform TNGA, Toyota-K (Toyota New Global Architecture), which provides a new level of control and comfort thanks to the durable body structure, low centre of gravity and rear double-wishbone suspension. In comparison with the predecessor the new Highlander 76 is longer, allowing for more space for third-row passengers, as well as to increase Luggage compartment volume. Inside the crossover can comfortably accommodate seven people.
On the Ukrainian market the new Toyota Highlander is available in two trim levels – Elegance and Premium. Both with a 3.5-liter “aspirated” V6 with a combined injection system of change of phases Dual VVT-i. The output of the unit – 299 HP and 357 Nm of torque. Pair them with a working 8-speed automatic Direct Shift. The base front-drive, four-wheel drive with coupling connection of the rear axle available as an option. The complete Premium crossover is equipped with dynamic all wheel drive system with directional distribution of torque (Dynamic Torque Vectoring AWD). Also, the Highlander of the new generation e-system Multi-Terrain Select, change settings, control electronics depending on the type of pavement.
The complete Premium crossover new generation first got a complex safety Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, which includes the system a collision warning with pedestrian detection day and night, aid retention in the lane, automatic high beam, recognition and awareness of road signs and adaptive cruise control working in full speed range.
The cabin crossover is equipped with 8.0-inch multimedia system with support for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The complete Premium provides 1200-watt JBL audio system with 11 speaker, panoramic roof with electric sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels and HUD-projection display.
Also the new Toyota Highlander is equipped with a 360-degree system of the circular review with the front, rear and two side cameras (Panoramic View Monitor, PVM), which displays on the monitor information about invisible driver obstacles.
