Qualcomm introduced a new processor for smartphones in the medium price segment – Snapdragon 765. Now the company has published detailed specifications of 7-nanometer chip that will be released in two configurations.
The key characterization of
OCTA core CPU is represented by a single high-performance core Kryo 475 Prime with a maximum clock frequency of 2.3 GHz (2.4 GHz for Snapdragon 765G), one Kryo 475 (2.2 GHz) and six energy-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 (1.8 GHz).
Graphics processor Adreno 620, the assurances of the company, is 20% faster than its predecessor Adreno 618, which is equipped with a Snapdragon chip 730.
The maximum amount of RAM that can be installed in the smartphone, built on the basis Snapdragon processor 765 is 12 GB (2133 MHz). Additionally, the chip supports fast charging QuickCharge 4+ power to 27 watts.
The first smartphones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 765 will appear in the beginning of 2020
Snapdragon 765 supports displays with a resolution of QHD+ with a frequency of 60 Hz or Full HD+ with a frequency of 120 Hz. A processor working with sensors, cameras that have a resolution of up to 192 megapixels and supports HDR recording videos in 4K resolution.
The new chip uses the fifth generation engine AI Engine with the functions of pattern recognition and image processing in real time.
The new platform includes a built-in modem X52 5G. It is compatible with the networks of the previous generation, and supports 5G band less than 6 GHz, and millimetre range. The maximum theoretical throughput when data load is 3.7 GB/s.
