Technical Director of the company Ashot Hovhannisyan claims that the reason was the rapid growth in the number of servers that are open to the Internet.

Hovhannisyan explained that most organizations use for remote VPN connection, but some servers available authorization without a password, which creates additional risk to the corporate network.

Director of the expert center Positive Technologies Alexey Novikov said that all popular VPN solutions, there is vulnerability. He stated that the risks of hacking has increased due to a sharp transition to a remote work format: the main challenge for companies is to ensure operability and information security has faded into the background. According to the survey by Positive Technologies, 11% of respondents had from zero to build a working system in a remote mode, and 41% is urgent to develop it.

Head of Department of investigation of cyber incidents JSOC CERT of Rostelecom Igor Zalewski said that with the transition to remote mode hacker attacks have become longer. Instead of 3-5 attempts of selection of passwords is 9-12. The expert recommended that companies closely monitor your inputs on the server.

In late may, Positive Technologies conducted a study according to which hackers can penetrate the corporate network during the period from half an hour to four days. According to the report of the firm, local resources vulnerable in 93 % of companies and 71% of cases the network may enter a low-skilled attacker.
