Vanderbilt died at the age of 95 years, at his home surrounded by loved ones. A month ago she was diagnosed with stomach cancer, reports the New Time.
About the designer’s death was announced by her son, TV host Anderson Cooper. “Gloria Vanderbilt was an incredible woman who loved life and lived by their own rules. She was an artist, writer and designer, but also an outstanding mother, wife and friend. She was 95 years old, but ask any of her loved ones, and they will tell you that she was the youngest person they knew – the most cool and modern”, – quotes the Cooper CNN.
Gloria Vanderbilt was born in 1924, the son of an American railway tycoon Reginald Vanderbilt. At 21, she gained control of a trust Fund of $4.3 million that left after the death of her father.
