73% of buyers of new iPhone SE had previously been owners of other iPhone models older than three years and only 9% came from the Android camp.

CIRP experts assessed the distribution of shares between the models of the iPhone in total sales for the second quarter of this year.

“According to their calculations, a considerable part of sales fell on the iPhone SE (2020), which is not surprising. To be precise, this model bought one in five (19% of sales), despite the fact that the device went on sale in late April”, – stated in the message.

“A complete picture of the distribution of sales among all models of iPhone on the market in North America, where the position of Apple is the most strongest, gives a chart prepared by experts of CIRP,” – emphasizes the publication.

The undisputed leader remains iPhone 11 with a share of 33%. Representatives of the flagship three – iPhone 11, Pro 11 and Pro 11 Max – total secured 65% of sales. The remaining 16% equally divided between iPhone and iPhone Plus 8/8 Xr. Significantly, in the same period of 2019 iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, took a total of 21% of the sales of iPhone and iPhone model Xr was the absolute champion with a share of almost 50%.

Rumored to be in September Apple will introduce four new iPhone 12: a 5.4-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
