The Ford motor company together with automotive components manufacturer Webasto has created a fully electric Mustang coupe Lithium. The prototype was presented at the tuning show SEMA in Las Vegas.
Ford Mustang is equipped with a Lithium electric capacity of more than 900 horsepower and 1355 N·m of torque. A huge amount of thrust, why it is transmitted to the rear wheels via manual transmission with six gears. All serial electric cars use one – or two-stage gearboxes, since the motor is always at the peak power.
Like Porsche Taycan, traction battery Mustang is under the voltage of 800 Volts, which is twice more than that of conventional electric cars. This solution allows to reduce the overall mass of electrical wiring. Unfortunately, the creators of the Ford Mustang Lithium’t told about the technical characteristics of a coupé with an unusual “filling”.
Coupe body panels are partially made of carbon fiber, the hood is inserted transparent Windows made of polycarbonate, between the front uprights – additional strut, and suspension lowered by 25 millimeters. In the lounge there is a 10.4-inch touchscreen display, with which you can choose between four driving modes: Valet, Sport, Track and Beast.
The launch of the Mustang in a series of Lithium in the Ford plan. The company created a prototype to demonstrate the possibilities of work with electric cars and testing different technologies that will appear in production models. November 17th Ford will present the first electrotransfer, stylized Mustang coupe.
