The car will present at the beginning of 2021 and will build on the C2 platform, which already underpins the new Focus.

The company plans to release a new model, which will replace at once three cars of the American brand – Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy. This was reported by Autocar citing a source familiar with the situation. According to him, the novelty will be compared with the off-road Subaru Outback.

It is expected that the premiere will take place in early 2021. The car will be built on the C2 platform, which already underpins the Focus. In scale of motors of the machine will include petrol and diesel engines. Also expect the emergence of hybrid modification of the universal in the structure of the power plant which will include a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with three cylinders and an electric motor.

It is unknown whether the car offered with all-wheel drive system. Also not yet known the name of the future model.

Another novelty will be a compact crossover Puma. European sales of the car are designed to take the place between the models of the EcoSport and the Kuga, will begin before the end of the year. The car was built on the platform of Ford Fiesta hatchback new generation. Ford Puma got a trunk volume of 456 l, which should become “best in class” indicator. The car will be available with power plant, operating on a “soft hybrid”.

At the end of March, Ford has officially announced that it will cease the import and Assembly in Russia the automobile models Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, EcoSport, Kuga and Explorer. This brand will not leave the Russian market completely – the company will focus on servicing of passenger cars and sales of light commercial vehicles.
