The Deputy of the Sejm of Poland Marcin Sventsitsky, who was elected in the international competition of more than 100 candidates for the position of business Ombudsman of Ukraine, pending approval of his candidacy in the Cabinet.
About Marcin Sventsitsky told the correspondent of UKRINFORM.
“This designation must still confirm the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine”, – the politician said, noting that until then will remain “uncertainty”.
Sventsitsky noted that before September, he will perform his parliamentary duties, but will not participate in the fall elections.
He noticed that the cadence of his predecessor in the post of business Ombudsman of Ukraine former Minister of Finance of Lithuania and former European Commissioner Algirdas Semeta – ends in October. However has not excluded that will begin his duties early.
As reported, that the Supervisory Council of the business Ombudsman of Ukraine has approved the candidacy of Sventsitskoho, on Wednesday on a press-conferences in Kiev were reported by the Shemet.
Sventsitsky 2015 is the Deputy of the Sejm of Poland from the liberal “Civic platform”. Previously, he was Minister of economic cooperation with foreign countries, the mayor of Warsaw, Deputy to the Sejm of several cadenzas, while in 2007-2011 – Chairman of the analytical Advisory center of the UN in Ukraine.
The position of business Ombudsman was introduced in Ukraine in 2014.
In February 2019, the business Ombudsman Algirdas Shemet announced his decision not to renew the contract until may 2019, but later agreed to remain in office until Oct.
