Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Germany, Michael Seibert said that the head of German diplomacy, Heiko Maas Wednesday reminded his Ukrainian counterpart Pavel Klimkin on compliance with the General standards of the OSCE on the mission.
On Thursday the Verkhovna Rada approved the law banning Russian citizens and entities proposed by the Russian side, to be official election observers in Ukraine. The bill was supported by 232 deputies at today’s plenary session.
“Since Ukraine began work mission of the OSCE / ODIHR election observation yesterday evening foreign Minister Maas reminded the Minister of foreign Affairs Klimkin about the importance of maintaining shared standards of the OSCE on the mission. The commitment of States parties to the agreed principles provides the reliability estimates of the ODIHR,” wrote Seibert on Twitter.
