Research firm NPD Group released data on sales of video games in the U.S. for the period from 2010 to 2019. Most popular Americans in the last decade has been Grand Theft Auto V.
Nothing surprising in this: in April of 2018, GTA V became the most financially successful media project of all time, and by November 2019, the worldwide spread of 115 million copies of the crime Thriller.
Exactly half of the seats in the top 20, including positions from the second to the sixth, occupied games Call of Duty series, most of which are sold in the U.S. were Call of Duty: Black Ops model 2010.
From the whole list, only two games came out in 2018 or later – another hit for Rockstar Games in the face of Red Dead Redemption 2 (7th place) and the controversial Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (12th place).
It is noteworthy that the ranking also got two Nintendo exclusive, although the Japanese company did not share information about digital sales of their projects: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (14-e a place) and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (19th place).
