Competitor KaiOS already got full Chrome.
Today push-button phones are considered as the most convenient and easy solution for those who need a minimum of functions. The developers of the company KaiOS decided to change that, releasing the eponymous OS. Its main feature is the ability to control the phone buttons. As it became known, the system has a competitor from Google, the development of which are already underway.
“Grandma’s Android” shown by the authors of the portal 9to5 Google IT-giant is already testing a system for push-button telephones. The insiders got the screenshots from the tests “non-touch” browser Chrome. As reported, on the basis of Chromium Toolkit can create a build of Android to control keys.
On the test instance the developers were able to go to multiple resources and to watch a video adapted version of YouTube. The testers also played in “secret” game Dino Runner that appears in the desktop versions of the browser with no Internet.
When will the first device to “push” Android is still unknown. But, given the popularity of the OS from Google, we can observe the revival of “classic” phones.
