In Amsterdam the Hermitage have exposed an unknown painting by Rembrandt – “portrait of a young man.” A real discovery for art lovers, events of such importance in the Netherlands has not happened for over 40 years. The work was exhibited at Christie’s auction and it was assumed that the painting was written by one of the disciples of the great artist. The lot was over 156 thousand euros, after experts confirmed the true authorship.

The total number of known works by Rembrandt reaches 342 pictures. See “portrait of a young man” at the Hermitage Amsterdam until mid-June. After six is going to put a picture up for auction. However, now the new buyer it will cost millions of euros.
