Journalist Paul Swann created an account 27-year-old Joseph, inspired by the portrait of Stalin on a matchbox.
German journalist Paul Swann Vice (Paul Schwenn) decided to conduct an experiment, pretending to be a 27-year-old Joseph Stalin in the Dating service Tinder. The idea was prompted by a photograph of the “young, amazingly beautiful” Stalin matchbox, a journalist from Georgia brought his friend.
Floor not find any quotes belonging to Stalin, so I repeated the phrase “Hitlers come and go, but Germany and the German people remain” on “Relationships come and go, but love remains” and attached it to a profile on Tinder.
Swann set up a profile for Joseph fairly quickly, but finding a pair was difficult. Journalist 15 minutes swivel right until he ended the tape with the profiles of the girls, however, have not received any mutual likes. He then tried to expand the territory within which Tinder offered him a pair, but Joseph still had no luck.
After Paul paid the subscription for a premium account on Tinder and opened the profile for men. “With the function of infinite sopernikov and unexpectedly discovered bisexuality Stalin things went uphill,” says Swann. Huskies from the men literally began to crumble at Joseph, and Tinder to display a notice about successful matches.
Gender split of users with whom he communicated on Tinder, in three categories: 1) those that are “watered” Joseph’s compliments; 2) those that eventually understand that “deal with a dictator”; 3) historians, with whom the journalist could discuss the precepts of Lenin and Trotsky’s murder. According to Svenda, very few users were concerned that he was impersonating a famous tyrant. So, some guy named Alex wrote to Joseph, “would not mind to share with him the GULAG”.
As a result, to meet Joseph agreed 30-year-old resident of Berlin Sofia. She started the conversation in Russian and I asked him: “are You alive?”. Then Sophia asked Joseph if he went back to resurrect communism.
When meeting Swann asked why Sophia agreed to meet with someone who is pretending to be Stalin. She said, “I thought it would be funny. It’s more interesting than the guys who flaunt their six-pack abs”. Sophia was a teacher of the German language. According to Paul, she was “beautiful, smart and funny”. At the end of the date, Gender and Sofia even agreed to go to the theatre together.
By the end of the experiment Joseph received 200 “matchy”. Before deleting your account Paul sent Sofia your real phone number, however, at the time of this writing, they have not contacted the girl.
