“We begin with 3,600 articles covering all series and styles of our range. But plan to gradually increase the number of available solutions and accessories for the home, and eventually to reach about 6,000 items,” said IKEA.

However, IKEA did not give the date when you plan to resume taking orders, which was stopped due to the large number of applications.

“The interest in our products in the Ukrainian market significantly exceeded expectations, and the number of orders per day several times exceeded forecasts, so for the first few days of the start of sales, we ran out of slots for delivery and for issuing orders. We do our best to resume the activity of the site as quickly as possible, and as soon as this becomes possible we’ll inform you immediately,” said the company.

Now the company is placing an order through the online store. However, soon it is planned to open a store in one of the shopping malls. Appropriate lease agreement has been signed with Blockbuster Mall. However, as the company said, it will be one of the first stores in an urban format IKEA in the world. The main features of these stores are smaller shopping area, located in the centre of cities to better match the requirements of consumers, to become more accessible and convenient.

The intention to enter the Ukrainian market, IKEA has announced the end of 2017. This decision was due to the high demand for affordable products and solutions for home in Ukraine, and also the company’s desire to change the everyday life of many Ukrainians.
