“In Berlin on Saturday, December 21, was the evacuation of the Christmas fair at Piazza Breitscheidplatz. The reason was “suspicious behavior” of two men… Initially, the police in Berlin said they received a report about a suspicious subject at the Christmas fair. Due to the fact that this was the Christmas fair in 2016 was a terrorist attack, the police “responded delicately,” – said in the message.
As noted, in a police operation which brought search dogs, was attended by 350 law enforcement officers. All this time the train was passing nearby station without stopping.
In the end no suspicious items were found. But was arrested two men. Information about their links with terrorists has not been confirmed, and soon the detainees were released.
As reported, in December 2016 truck, at the wheel which was the citizen of Tunisia Anis Amri, crashed into the crowd at the fair on the square Breitscheidplatz. In the attack, 12 people were killed, about 50 injured.
