War criminal, political leader of the Cambodian Khmer Rouge regime, Nuon Chea, known as “Brother number two”, has died at the age of 93 years.
As reminds BBC, Nuon Chea were found guilty of genocide of the Vietnamese and representatives of ethnic Cham (children). In 2018 he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
He was the second person in Cambodia after dictator Pol Pot during the period of the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1979. During this time in Kampuchea, as the regime was called Cambodia, from hunger, exhaustion and executions killed about 2 million people.
Nuon Chea was one of the main ideologists of the regime.
