The mufti of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Ukraine “Ummah” said Ismagilov said that today the police raided a mosque of the Islamic cultural center of Kiev, by checking the visitors documents. 25 people were taken away. About this Ismagilov wrote in Facebook.
“I criticized the Russian authorities for the fact that they organize raids at mosques, and today the same thing happened in Kiev”, – he wrote.
Ismagilov said that today Friday is a special prayer day for Muslims when they go to the mosque.
He said that around 12:00, the beginning prayer, to the mosque was approached by two buses with the staff of the State migration police accompanied by the national police. In total there were about 40 people.
According to Ismagilov, the police staged a mass document checks of people going to the mosque. It lasted at the exit of the courtyard of the mosque, and after prayers, he said.
To the comments that their actions are a gross violation of the rights of believers, the police responded that verification of documents is not the mosque, but outside it, said the mufti.
“Was arrested and taken by buses 25 people, who had with him the documents,” wrote Ismagilov.
“I am absolutely sure that these can not be RAID to have religious buildings… In a free democratic country such working methods are completely acceptable,” he added.
Earlier Ismagilov reported that in 2016-2018 passed a series of raids on mosques in different cities of Ukraine. According to him, militiamen were planted forbidden literature.
