In Showscom area of the city on one of the houses on the prospect of the red Viburnum has opened a huge mural dedicated to the Metropolitan of the UGCC Andrey Sheptytsky. Grand opening dedicated to the 155th anniversary of his birth.
As reported by UKRINFORM, the mural is located in a busy place, so every mural will see a lot of citizens and guests of Lviv.
“Today, on the birthday of Sheptytsky, at the initiative of management of culture of city Council, through the efforts of Svyatoslav Vladyka, and the whole team of artists Sacred Universe that worked, we got the great mural not only bulks of showscan, but only in Lviv” – said father Orest Fredyna, rector of the parish of the Nativity of the Holy virgin of UGCC.
This is the 4th of 6 works of monumental art are creating on the high-rise city in the framework of the project “Geniuses of Finance”. And just like the previous, on the mural Sheptytsky worked community for artists Sacred Universe.
Sheptytsky depicted in several guises, to show how versatile this man was. On the left of the house painted the young count Sheptytsky, there it to 20 years, few people recognize Sheptytsky at this age. And to the right is Metropolitan in the Mature age.
“Few people know that in the later years of Metropolitan posed for our Lviv artist Michael frost, we also delivered it. And Sheptytsky often met scouts, led with them educational work, in my opinion this is an important message for the fact that if we want to build a strong state, it is necessary to work with children,” shared the main ideas of artistic conception, the artist is the Lord.
