In Zaporizhzhya regional state administration signed a Memorandum of cooperation between the leaders of Melitopol, Chernihiv and Cyril OTG with the Ukrainian social investment Fund. The German government provided a grant of 14 million 450 thousand euros, the German development Bank KfW for the repair and equipping of the 4 clinics.
In Melitopol for the investors ‘ funds will be repaired, two outpatient primary health care: one is located at Prospekt Bogdana Khmelnitskogo in the residential area around a stop “the Black grocery store”, and the second on the first floor of the consultative and diagnostic Center at St. Ivan Alexeyev (green clinic). To implement the Project of Ukrainian social investment Fund will, in cooperation with local communities and heads of institutions of primary health care.
Six years ago our region was standing in front of serious challenge: the need to ensure a decent environment for our residents, who were forced to leave their homes because of hostilities. Ukrainian social investment Fund, which is financed by German Bank KfW was one of the first organizations that have offered their help. During the period of cooperation of UFSI and local communities have implemented more than one project in the Zaporozhye region. A few months ago we were faced with a new problem – the epidemic of the coronavirus. Primary care medicine was at the forefront. I want to thank for long-term sustainable partnership and full support of Zaporizhzhya region. In the framework of this project it is planned to Finance energy efficient renovation of premises and the supply of medical equipment. The projected amount of funding the projects mentioned above now stands at more than 33 million UAH. The benefits would extend to about 42 thousand local residents who use the services at the clinics – 2 of which are in Kyiv, one in Kirillovka another in Chernigovka.
In the formal ceremony of signing the Memorandum was attended by the Secretary of Melitopol city Council Roman Romanov, Chairman of the Chernihiv village Council Vitaly Manych, Cyril, the Chairman of the village Council Ivan Maleev, Director of the Southeast regional office of UFSI Basil Burtnik.
Basil Burtnik noted that it is very nice to work with someone who himself wants to develop and invest in the development.
– With the Zaporozhye region we have a very long and friendly relationship. Of course, this affects the result of our work. We are doing a good thing, benefiting people and improving social services. Our plans not only help the grassroots level and the development of specialized medicine, he said.
