The Ministry of health Pakistan’s Sindh province, confirmed the death of 66 people in a plane crash near Karachi airport.
“Officials of the Ministry of health of Sindh has officially confirmed the death of 66 people as a result of the crash of Pakistan international airlines with 99 passengers on Board near Karachi airport”, – stated in the message.
Currently it is not clear whether this figure is only of the passengers, or also local residents, because the plane fell on a residential area.
The number of dead is expected to rise as rescuers continue working at the scene.
As reported, 2 people were on Board the plane, alive. One of them is the President of the Bank of Punjab. Both were admitted to hospital, they have serious burns.
