Yesterday in front of the Russian Embassy in Latvia held a rally in support of Ukrainian political prisoners of the Kremlin “Empty chairs”, jointly organized by the Latvian and Ukrainian organizations. About it reports “UKRINFORM”.
“Dozens of empty chairs with glued on them the names of Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia was set just in front of the Windows of the Russian Embassy. The names of political prisoners and prisoners of war 24 Ukrainian sailors, was read by the famous Ukrainian writer Andrey Kurkov”, – stated in the message.
Everyone had the opportunity to speak, after which the audience sang the national anthems of Ukraine and Latvia.
Call for release of political prisoners and prisoners of war was supported by the Deputy of European Parliament from Latvia Sandra Kalniete, MPs Utah the streak, Yuri Jurass, and others.
