Kamchatka volcano Shiveluch threw a column of ash to a height of 6.8 meters above the sea level. Earlier, the Russian service warned that at any moment can start a strong volcanic eruption.
About it reported the edition “RIA Novosti” with reference to the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical service RAS.
“Emissions of ash to a height of 6800 feet above sea level occurred on Tuesday morning local time. About the height of the emission can be judged from seismic data,” – said the Agency.
Precipitation of ash emission is not registered. The nearest town next to the volcano is at a distance of 45 kilometers.
