The airport was attacked by a drone
The attack of the drone at Abha airport in Saudi Arabia were injured and eight people. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to Reuters.
Information was confirmed by the Saudi channel al-Arabiya, citing its correspondent. Also, the media should add that earlier attacks on airports using drones, said the Yemeni Houthi movement. His supporters reported that they attacked the airports in Abha and Jizan in southern Saudi Arabia.
Add that with June 12, the Houthis inflicted several blows to the airport in Abha, when a result of a rocket attack wounded 26 people. The Houthis have increased their attacks on Saudi cities in connection with the escalation of tensions between Iran and the Arab Gulf States backed by the US.
Note that the European aviation safety Agency (EASA) has prepared a set of rules for use of drones and the European Union was the first region in the world where prescribed by such rules. This step, in particular, will prevent the events in Gatwick and Heathrow, when the operation of the terminal was suspended due to the fact that drones flew into their territory.
