In the recently released demo of Resident Evil 3 was detected references, hinting at the development version of the game for Nintendo Switch. The project was officially announced only for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Dataminer FluffyQuack found a number of notifications that refer to other platforms, including Nintendo Switch. For example, one of them: “the Game has AutoSave function, please do not turn off your [insert platform name]”.
Moreover, in the demo there are links to purchase Resident Evil 3 in the digital store platform. In the case of PlayStation 4, for example, the message reads: “go to the PlayStation Store?”. The same message is there and with the Nintendo eShop. If you went through the demo, then you know that at the end of the level, Capcom offers to pre-order the full version of Resident Evil 3, where this message appears.
All this, however, can be explained not only by the existence of a version of the game for Nintendo Switch. Maybe the project version for portable-stationary console is not in active development, and Capcom just once experimented with porting Resident Evil 3 for the Nintendo platform.
Another, more interesting explanation – live streaming Resident Evil 3. In the past, Capcom has released Resident Evil 7 on the Nintendo Switch to the cloud for the sake of experiment. The game is only available in Japan. This is not the only example of this approach in Phantasy Star Online 2 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, too, can play on the Nintendo Switch, but only in Japan and only in the cloud.
In any case, is that Resident Evil 3 is scheduled to release on April 3 only on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
