July 23 – “the trial” occupied Armyansk (Crimea) held the first hearing of the case against the MP from the “European solidarity”, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev. About this in Facebook said his lawyer Nikolai Polozov.
According to counsel, “the court” has considered the defense motion, after which the Prosecutor read the indictment.
“The defense to the indictment is unequivocal. Cemil does not recognize the charge of any one item, believes the prosecution was politically motivated, linked to its open position not to recognize the illegal occupation of the Crimea and the commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and the actions of the occupation authorities is illegal,” – said Polozov.
He noted that “the court” has also determined the order of examination of evidence: “First, will be questioned by the prosecution witnesses, examined written submissions, and then the physical evidence. After which the rules of evidence will go to the defense”.
“At the same time the court was adjourned until July 30 to call prosecution witnesses in the process”, – concluded the lawyer.
On completion of the investigation against Dzhemilev and transfer the case to “court” the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation it became known on 8 June. No lawyer, no of Dzhemilev on the transfer case is not known.
