Officials organized corruption scheme for the withdrawal of public money into the shadow
The security service of Ukraine exposed the corrupt scheme of plunder of public money, organizovannoy officials of regional and local budgets during implementation of construction works on objects of social sphere of the Poltava region. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the SBU.
As found by investigators, government officials and owners of commercial structures in collusion resulted in the “development” of controlled companies more than 150 million UAH of budget funds allocated for repairs and reconstruction of public institutions, including schools and hospitals.
“The work was carried out by order of the budgetary funds of the Poltava regional state administration and Executive Committee of Poltava city Council. The defendants artificially inflated the cost of work performed and the number of the building materials used fictitiously buying them from controlled companies-pads. For withdrawal of budget money in the “shadow” attackers registered a number of under control commercial structures”, – stated in the message.
According to intelligence agencies, the defendants embezzled over $ 22 million hryvnias of budgetary funds.
“During a pretrial investigation it is documented that the management of financial and accounting companies, which together went out on tender purchases, and firms-strips, was carried out according to one legal address. In particular, the purchase of goods in controlled commercial entities at cost, which on average 30-40% above the market, has led to damage to the budget of almost 10 million UAH”, – stated in the message.
During the search law enforcers seized financial and payment documents, draft books, printing, commercial structures, involved in the illegal transactions.
Open criminal proceedings under part 5 article 191 (assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position) the Criminal code of Ukraine. Investigations are continuing.
