To perform the duties of the assistant Secretary of state for Europe and Eurasia, including in the Ukrainian direction, the U.S. state Department appointed Philip Reeker, who is now at the highest diplomatic post in Stuttgart, Germany.
This was stated by Deputy of the official representative of US State Department Robert Palladino, UKRINFORM reported.
“From March 18 he (Ricker – ed.) will work as the first Deputy assistant Secretary and acting assistant Secretary of state at the head of the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs, Department of State,” – said the official representative of Department.
Philip Rucker now holds the position of civilian Deputy commander of the US European command in Stuttgart. Prior to that, he was Consul General in Milan, the Deputy assistant Secretary of state for the Balkans, Central Europe, and Holocaust issues. Ricker also served as U.S. Ambassador to the present Northern Macedonia.
