Reusable rocket for suborbital flights New Shepard Blue Origin successfully landed 10 minutes after the start
In the United States has successfully passed the test launch of reusable rocket New Shepard for suborbital flight company Blue Origin, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Verge.
Reentry capsule of the rocket rose to a height of 105.5 km, then the rocket together with the capsule safely landed at the company’s facility in West Texas, about 10 minutes after the start.
As notes the edition, it 11th test flight of the New Shepard.
The current launch was unmanned, but in the future, Blue Origin plans to implement with the help of rocket New Shepard in commercial launches of space tourists. Director of astronomical and orbital sales for Blue Origin, Ariane Cornell during the live broadcast of the launch said that people using the New Shepard launch into space by the end of this year.
