In Uman on Friday night, January 10, a group of about 30 people with knives and batons were running the streets, looking for Jews and attacking them. It is reported by Yeshiva World News.
According to witnesses, the attackers were armed with knives and batons. It is noted that the brutal beating started after a minor dispute between one of the local Ukrainians and Jews.
“Ukrainian involved in the dispute, called on his anti-Semitic friends to come and beat up Jews,” – said conducting Shabbat Jew.
The militiamen who have arrived on the scene, tried to help, but “just stood and watched what was happening.”
The incident injured four Jews were taken to the nearest hospital.
Earlier in Uman detained the officials to extort bribes for trade during the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah.
