Hyperloop unveiled the first passenger capsule
The idea of the Hyperloop (“hyperpathia”) introduced in 2012 an engineer, entrepreneur and investor Elon Musk, the ideologist and founder of such companies as SpaceX and Tesla Motors. His idea is that in the pipes above the surface of the earth in extremely rarefied air with a small interval and a speed of up to 1220 km/h will travel capsule with passengers or cargo. In this case, the capsule does not concern the pipe wall because of the effect of air cushion.
For the first time Musk spoke about the tunnel at the end of 2016. The tunnel is 4 km long, originates under the main office of the company SpaceX in Hawthorne, California and ends in a suburb of Los Angeles.
The greatest activity in the implementation of this idea showed the company One and Hyperloop Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT).
So, HTT has concluded agreements with several countries about the construction and testing of such systems there. In 2016, the agreement was reached with the government of Slovakia, in 2017 – with the government of India in 2018 – with the authorities of the American States of Ohio and Illinois.
Earlier, the former Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced that Hyperloop will be in Ukraine for five years.
“The global launch of the Hyperloop in Ukraine is expected in 2020, in Ukraine for 5 years the Ministry of Infrastructure will be able to enter the first section,” – said the former Minister.
